Our Mission

The coalition supports the growth and development of real estate cooperatives in Minnesota. We are working together to expand community ownership of real estate so residents can have a voice in the development of local infrastructure and share in the benefits.

As a collaborative of co-ops, nonprofits, and businesses, we pool our resources, knowledge, and efforts to develop strategies to support co-op development.

Minnesota Consortium of Community Developers (MCCD)

The Minnesota Consortium of Community Developers (MCCD) is a statewide network of nonprofit organizations and community development financial institutions working to build a more equitable economy. Through policy advocacy, business lending, technical assistance, and leadership development, MCCD expands opportunities for affordable housing, cooperative ownership, and community investment. By connecting organizations, resources, and expertise, MCCD helps historically underserved communities build lasting wealth, strengthen local economies, and shape their own futures.
